Nestled in the Canadian Rockies, the Moraine Lake is located approximately 14kms from the village of Lake Louise. This glacier fed lake in the Banff National Park has bold turquoise views that will simply take your breath away. The Rockpile Trail will take you to the top of the natural dam from where you can take the perfect postcard shot. Take a trip to the place where the geology absolutely rocks! The provincial park is home to a collection of prominent hoodoos that have been formed over 12 million years of natural erosion. The park in fact is made to protect the towering hoodoos. In addition to getting up and close with these volcanic ash and basalt pillars, the Pinnacles viewpoint offers a beautiful bird’s eye view of the city of Quensel and Baker Creek.

The Jasper National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Canadian Rockies. You can take the Jasper SkyTram that will fly you to a beautiful boardwalk. Continue from there with a walk to the top on the Summit Trail. Once you are at the peak of the Whitslers Mountain (2,463m/8,081ft), you will find every view from every angle absolutely jaw dropping with a 360- degree view of Jasper along with many spectacular lakes and rivers. The sundial atop will help you spot six different mountain ranges including Mount Robson which is the highest in the Canadian Rockies.

The turquoise waters are always a charmer but the emerald greens are uniquely beautiful in their own way and the Cheakamus Lake has endless serene greens. A pleasant hike enveloped by giant cedar trees along the roaring Cheakamus River makes the journey just as beautiful as the destination. Once you spot the jewel toned lake, you can plan a photo stop there and turn back or you can continue upwards to the Singing Creek which is the final stretch. Tiny lakeside beaches line the Singing Creek looking out into the glistening water.
